The test standards GB 9656-2003 has specific requirements for testing automotive glass.
Size and appearance requirements: appearance quality, size and allowable deviation, curvature.
Mechanical properties: curvature, surface stress, shotgun bag impact performance, impact resistance, thermal shock resistance, wind pressure resistance, etc.
Optical performance: visible light transmittance, visible light reflectance.
Safety performance requirements: resistance, humidity resistance, resistance to overlapping light, drop ball replacement performance, shotgun bag impact performance.
Here are heat resistance test and humidity test procedure. It can be tested with LIB Humidity Light Test Chamber equipment.
Heat Resistance Test
Test purposes
Evaluate whether the appearance quality of safety glass can change after high temperature for a certain period of time.
Test procedure
Three sheets with a size of 300mm×300mm were heated at 100°C and kept for 2 hours, and then the sheets were allowed to cool to room temperature naturally.
Humidity Test
Test purposes
In order to determine whether safety glass can fully determine the role of atmospheric moisture for a certain period of time.
Test procedure
Three sheets with a size of at least 300mm×300mm are placed vertically in a closed container for 336h (two weeks), the temperature of the container is maintained at 50°C±2°C, and the relative humidity is 95±4%. If several slices are tested at the same time, appropriate gaps should be left between the slices.
